Day 20 Weigh In Results

Welcome to my day 20 weight & measurement results. Reaching day 20 means I have now completed 1/3 or 33.33% of my 60 day juice fast.

So here are the results:

Since my last weigh in 10 days ago I have lost a total of 6lb which takes my current weight to 180lbs. This means that the total weight loss since starting the fast is now at 20lbs.

The slowdown in weight loss following the first 10 days of fasting was very much expected, but I am delighted with 6lbs loss in 10 days which averages out at 0.6lb weight loss each day.

My BMI has also dropped 1 point from 28.5 to 27.5 taking me ever closer to the healthy weight band of 25 and under.

Measurements

I didn’t really expect to see much, if any, difference in inches this time but I have managed to drop 2” of my waist making a 3” loss in total. My hips and chest have remained the same as when last measured 10 days ago, but both my arm and thigh have lost a further 0.5” from each.

To Conclude

My target weight loss for the completed 60 day juice fast is 30lbs, so with a total of 20lbs already lost I now just have 10lbs to lose to meet my goal. With 40 days of this fast to go that means I need to lose 2.5lbs every 10 days. I am very confident that I will be able do this and hopefully more.

My next weigh in will be in 10 days time at day 30 – the half-way point of this 60 day juice fast. I will do a general fast update on day 25.

    Hi there, how many calories do you have a day? I want to do a 12 day fruit juice fast of about 600 calories per day. do you think this will work?

      Gemma, totally forget calories counting on a juice fast. Your body treats fluid calories much different from solids. Just drink 2.5 litres per day and leave the calorie counting for when you get back to solids :)

    I am on day 11 of my juice fast and I lost 15 lbs. so far. I am posting a bit late to your party and I see that your 60 days have passed. Did you complete your fast? And what was your final weight loss? I intend to do at least 40 days but may go the distance to 60. I feel great and I’m so excited everytime I get on my scale, something I’ve dreaded doing for years. Happy Juicing!!

    Hi,
    I am very interested in completing a fast but am also quite physically active, swimming about 2 KM a day. Has the fast affected your intensity for physical activity?

      Yes, the longer the fast the more muscle loss you tend to lose making activities tiresome. If you can’t rest more during your regime then I would suggest adding in spirulina powder to your juices to boost protein and help preserve muscle.
