60 Day Juice Fast – Day 15

Today I reached another milestone. I am at day 15, which means I have already completed a quarter of this 60 day juice fast and the time really has flown by.
I have had a relatively easy going week since my day 7 report, but today was my first day back at work since starting the fast. I normally work 7 days a week, but for the remainder of this fast I will work 4 days and have 3 days off.
This week also sees the start of my exercise routine. I plan to use an exercise cycle daily, starting at 5 minutes and building from there. Weather permitting, I plan to brisk walk a 3 mile route 3 times per week, I completed my first walk today. I will update on my progress.
Produce shopping trips are still done every 2-3 days. I stocked up today which has taken the total cost of juice fasting so far to: $179 (£118). Over 15 days that works out at a cost of $12 (£8) per day and my fridge is currently full enough for 3 days of juicing.
I have continued to drink between 2.5-3 litres (85-100 fl oz) daily. I started to crave green juices more than any other lately, so I have been drinking approx. 4 green juices and 1 fruit juice per day. Strangely the thought of drinking any carrot based juices is really putting me off, I hope that the feeling goes and that it doesn’t happen with anything else – especially green juice!
My water intake had also been good, though I have decreased the plain water slightly and now drink more lemon with warm water. The warm water has been keeping my body temperature up when I am less active, however I may revert back to cold water due to my job which involves working with heat.
My skin is now completely free from the breakouts which started on Day 4 of this juice fast. My complexion is starting to look much brighter & clearer than normal.
Clarity of thinking is improving daily. I feel much more alert and focused. I am hoping to see further improvement as the fast continues.
The past 2-3 days has seen me much more emotional than normal. I have been easily upset and a little teary. This is not something that I can recall from my previous fasts, but will now start to monitor.
In general I have been sleeping very well, getting on average 7-8 hours of interrupted sleep. I had just one bad night in the past week where I got 5 hours sleep which just resulted in feeling tired the next day and didn’t disturb my pattern.
Energy levels have been at 9/10 – 10/10 for the past week. It will be interesting to see if that changes with the start of my exercise routine and also starting back at work.
